Markets near F&O Expiry

As expiry comes near, the traded volume generally increases by large scales, especially in the junior NIFTY stocks. As we know that mostly the NSE F&O generates larger volumes and turnovers per day as compared to BSE F&O. Although, there becomes a tendency in most of the stocks to increase by 2-5 % in large caps. Whereas, midcaps and smallcaps generally increase by 5-10 %. But in adverse conditions you may see severe up rise and strong downfall on a single day. So It is advisable to avoid high volume trades near expiry days until you are a big risk taker.
